
Dr. Kathy McLaughlin earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1991 before continuing her studies at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated cum laude in 1995. After completing her degree, she moved to Ocala, where she initially worked in equine practice for a year before transitioning to small animal care. Dr. McLaughlin began working part-time at Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital in the spring of 2011, where she has since become an integral part of the team.
She is an active member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Marion County Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. McLaughlin’s professional interests lie in internal medicine and critical care, where she continually strives to provide the highest level of care to her patients.
When not at the hospital, Dr. McLaughlin enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their two cats and one dog. She is passionate about outdoor activities and enjoys family time at the beach and hiking in her spare time.
