Jennifer Teitelbaum
Dr. Jennifer Teitelbaum, the owner of Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital, began practicing veterinary medicine in 1996. A native Floridian, Dr. Teitelbaum graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine with high honors. With the goal of creating a veterinary team committed to the highest quality veterinary care and education, she founded Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital in 2005.
Her background in both general private practice and shelter medicine provides her with the skills and experience necessary to offer comprehensive and specialized care to all of her clients. Dr. Teitelbaum lives with her husband Bill, Golden Retriever “Hazel”, and cat “Olive” in Ocala, and their two children attend the University of Florida in Gainesville. She enjoys spending time with her family, training Hazel for Rally competitions, and traveling.
Ashley Sutton
Dr. Sutton graduated with her Doctor in Veterinary Medicine in May 2019 from Iowa State University. Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Sutton loved Florida visits with her parents in their retirement home in The Villages, and after graduation she was thrilled to join the team at Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital.
Dr. Sutton’s professional interests include oncology and dentistry. One of her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine is the variety of cases that can be seen in a given day, and the opportunity to continue furthering her education. Dr. Sutton enjoys getting to know each and every pet and their family to find the best veterinary care for each individual.
Candice Vance
Dr. Candice Vance began working for Mulberry Grove Animal hospital in 2007 after graduating from the University of Florida Cum Laude. Her interests in the field of Veterinary Medicine include internal medicine and radiology with a special focus in ultrasound imaging.
Dr. Vance is currently an active member of the AVMA, and enjoys participating in many conference courses to continue to provide information on the latest veterinary medicine and technology. Dr. Vance lives with her husband, daughter and three dogs in Summerfield. Outside of work, she enjoys running, boating, gardening and spending time with family.
Kathy McLaughlin
Dr. Kathy McLaughlin obtained her undergraduate degree from University of Massachusetts in 1991 and then went on to the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated Cum Laude in 1995. Following graduation, she moved to Ocala, and after working for one year in equine practice, she began working in small animal practice. She began working part time for Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital in the spring of 2011.
She is an active member of the AVMA and the Marion County Veterinary Medical Association. Her interest include internal medicine and critical care. Dr. McLaughlin lives in Ocala with her husband, two children, two cats, and one dog. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family at the beach and hiking.

Brecca
Brecca is our Lead technician. She resides in Oxford, FL with her boyfriend, 2 dogs and cat on their mini “Misfit” Farm. She enjoys spending time outdoors on their boat with the dogs during her free time. She has been with Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital since 2019 and continues to be passionate about providing a fear free experience for pets and educating clients about veterinary medicine.
Jessica
Jessica Boone has been with Mulberry Grove Animal hospital since 2013. She is one of our very talented technicians here at Mulberry Grove. She was born and raised in this beautiful sunshine state. She is blessed with a beautiful daughter who she loves spending time with, a cat and a dog that she adores, and two guinea pigs to complete her family!
Mallory
Mallory is an adventurous and kind natured technician here at The Grove. She has a great love of all animals including her own turtle named Levine. When not hard at work, you will find her outside gardening native flowers.
Jessie Prescott
Jessie has been at Mulberry Grove since 2021, and has loved every minute of it. Some of her favorite aspects of being a veterinary technician are the ability to connect with so many pets and their owners on a daily basis, and honing her skills in the surgical suite. In her free time, Jessie enjoys visiting theme parks and kayaking. She currently lives in Ocala with her husband and a full zoo of pets, including reptiles and a horse.
Ashley Krusch
Ashley is a certified veterinary technician originally from Long Island, New York. She graduated with her degree in veterinary technology from SUNY Delhi in 2020 and has been working with small animals since. She moved to Florida about a year ago to be closer to her family and escape the snow. In her free time she enjoys being in the sun with her dog or painting portraits.
Melyssa
Melyssa is one of our great Veterinary Technician. She has always known she had a passion for animals and their well-being. She started her career in veterinary medicine at the beginning of 2023. Melyssa enjoys spending time with her furry best friend Lanna, while outdoors exploring the world.
Jamie knocke
Jamie has been grooming for about 12 years. She also has a Bachelor’s in Equine Studies and has been a vet tech, photographer, and animal care technician. She is a certified Fear Free Groomer and focuses on making sure the animals she works with are safe and happy. She has put her experience training horses and dogs to use working with dogs and cats with behavioral issues to help their confidence and comfort during grooming. She also works extensively with animals with physical conditions such as blindness, arthritis, and orthopedic issues to make the grooming process as easy as possible.
Molly
Molly Jenkins is one of our great veterinary receptionists. She has known from a very young age that she wanted to work with animals and is very happy she gets to every day. She feels strongly about client education and helping guide owners to healthy pet care. She has been with Mulberry Grove Animal Hospital since 2012 & calls herself a ‘lifer. “This is home to her”, as she would say. She lives in Ocala with her beautiful family and probably one too many cats!
